Picture Perfect Practice Book Study

Some of the lovely gals from Clickin Moms have banded together to do a study of sorts based on the book
Picture Perfect Practice : A Self-Training Guide to Mastering the Challenges of Taking World-Class Photographs (Voices That Matter) by Robert Valenzuela. (I am not compensated whatsoever, by the author or Amazon).

Each week we will focus on one chapter starting at the beginning and working our way through the entire book.  Photos are posted weekly to a FB page to hopefully stimulate some conversation about the theories and everyone's interpretation of the chapter.

Chapter 1 Geometry
Chapter 1 talks about all of the different shapes; rectangles, squares, circles etc that can impact our photos.  It was interesting once I started paying attention to all of the different shapes everywhere in architecture, in nature, in shadows, etc.

Here are my photos for chapter 1.  These are SOOC because I'm blonde and haven't figured out LR3 well enough to edit them yet.  Please don't judge :-).

I am very excited about this study group.  There is so much to learn in photography, because of the sheer volume of information and interpretation it's easy to spin your wheels.  I'm hopeful that having a structure to follow will do more for me than just haphazardly snapping pics.
